The school year begins in may and extends till late March. The academic year is divided into two semesters. The application process begins from January for the following session le. april copy of registration form is attached to the school prospectus. This form, duly filled in, may be returned to the school personally or by email

Today as we all know that the role of a school is not only to impart knowledge that encompasses the prescribed syllabi of the institution but that of the world beyond the class room. And we at Donyi Polo Vidya Bhawan School aims not only for academic excellence but also do aim to prepare students for college and for life. Encouraging students to look for what is truly of value in life and to live within a moral framework, establishing a solid foundation for lifelong learning. We have a well balanced program both in the field of academics and co-curricular designed to meet and exceed the challenges of the 21st century. We take pride in an education system that doesn't just nurture a selected few, or categorize or labels young children in a way that limits their potential. We believe in 'No child left behind policy. It is our constant endeavor to shape well-rounded personalities that will contribute positively to the world around them.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

When applying for admission the candidates are required to enclose:

the following documents:

1. Birth Certificate

2 Transfer Certificate (TC)

3. Character Certificate (CC)

4. Board result/ home examination result of the previous school.

5. Three (3) recent passport size photographs

6. Medical fitness report

ENTRANCE TEST AND ADMISSION

 

The admission to the school is made on the basis of an entrance test and a personal interview conducted by the admission committee. The admission committee judges applicants on the basis of academic ability, character, ability to fit into a multi culture environment and potential contribution to the school community. Admissions to class X and XII are not given as a matter of policy, however in exceptional circumstances a student may be considered.

 

Syllabus for admission test will be based on the syllabus of the subject in the class in which the student is presently studying. The written examination for admission to various classes will be conducted as follows:
